The Canadian Express Entry program was implemented in January 2015. This new system enables the management of immigration applications for many of Canada’s programs, including the Federal Skilled Worker program, the Canadian Experience Class program, and the Federal Skilled Trades program.

The Express Entry system manages applications for permanent residence under the economic classes. Potential candidates complete an online Express Entry profile, and the highest-ranking candidates in the pool will be invited to apply for Permanent Residence.
